Why IV Delivery Matters: Pharmacokinetics of Glutathione

The fundamental limitation of oral glutathione supplementation is its extremely poor systemic bioavailability. Witschi et al. Allen and Bradley (2011) confirmed that IV glutathione produces immediate, dose-dependent increases in plasma GSH levels, with peak concentrations achieved within minutes of infusion completion and elevated levels sustained for 2-4 hours. This pharmacokinetic advantage is the central rationale for choosing IV drip over oral supplementation when clinical brightening outcomes are the goal.

Melanogenesis Modulation: The Brightening Mechanism
