Multi-Cytokine Therapy: Beyond Standard PRP

Standard PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) concentrates platelets and their associated growth factors (primarily PDGF, TGF-beta, and VEGF). However, this captures only a fraction of the blood’s regenerative potential. Multi-Cytokine Therapy extends the processing with an incubation step that activates monocytes and leukocytes to release their full cytokine payload, including anti-inflammatory interleukins (IL-1ra, IL-4, IL-10, IL-13), tissue-remodeling matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors (TIMP-1, TIMP-2), and additional growth factors (HGF, KGF, EGF). Chronic low-grade inflammation (“inflammaging”) is a primary driver of skin aging, characterized by elevated IL-1beta, TNF-alpha, and NF-kB activity that accelerates collagen degradation and impairs repair. PDRN (Salmon DNA) Synergy with MCT

Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) derived from salmon DNA provides purine and pyrimidine nucleotides that serve as building blocks for DNA repair and tissue regeneration. PDRN activates A2A adenosine receptors, stimulating VEGF-mediated angiogenesis and fibroblast proliferation. When co-injected with MCT, the nucleotide scaffolding from PDRN complements the cytokine signaling from MCT — growth factors tell cells what to build, while PDRN provides the raw materials. The combination of PDGF, VEGF, and KGF activates dormant follicular stem cells in the bulge region, promoting transition from telogen (resting) to anagen (growth) phase.
