Dual-Frequency Ultrasound: Why Two Frequencies Are Better Than One

Conventional therapeutic ultrasound devices operate at a single frequency, typically between 1-3 MHz. The fundamental limitation is tissue adaptation — after prolonged exposure to a single frequency, cellular mechanoreceptors desensitize and the therapeutic effect plateaus.
